Refund policy
This policy describes how we handle refunds for Nota. It is written in plain language; it does not replace your statutory rights as a UK consumer where those apply.
Download only
You may download the Nota app for macOS without charge. If you have not completed a paid subscription or one-time purchase, there is no payment to refund. Uninstall the app from your Mac if you no longer want it.
Web billing (subscriptions)
If you subscribed to Nota through web billing (checkout powered by Stripe via our subscription provider), you may request a refund by contacting us from Settings in the Nota app after you sign in, or by replying to your purchase receipt if one was emailed to you. We aim to respond within a few business days.
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method where possible. When a subscription payment is refunded or you cancel, cloud sync and other paid features may end when the billing period or grace period described at checkout no longer applies.
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorised, contact us promptly so we can review it with you and, if needed, your card issuer.
App Store and other storefronts
If you buy or renew Nota through the Mac App Store or another platform, refunds and billing support are handled by that store under its own rules. Use Apple’s support flows (or the relevant store’s process) for those purchases; this page applies to web-billed subscriptions only.
UK statutory rights
If you are in the UK, you may have statutory rights (for example under consumer protection law) in addition to this policy. Nothing here is intended to limit those rights. For legal certainty about your situation, consider independent advice.
